Action of 4 July 1805 was a battle that took place on July 4 1805 at the mouth of the Narenta River between the Russian Navy and that of France. The Russians had the two formerly Swedish frigates Venus and Avtroil, while the French had eleven vessels including the xebec Heinrich. The battle resulted in a Russian victory.
